The Cat's Grin Performance followed by a Special Series of Workshops / Rehearsals leading to a performance or two by the children.  Consisting of Introductory Theatre Games to relax the children and introducing the important dramatic skills of vocal and physical clarity, listening, and use of imagination.  This will be followed by work on characters and ideas from stories linked to a central theme, e.g.., Pirates.  We will then rehearse our Show, which the children will be presenting to their School, Families, Friends, General Public.  During rehearsals we will look at how to portray the various aspects of the story e.g., characters, setting, words and atmosphere - in a dramatically engaging way.  For this purpose we will look at the use of movement, body, music, sound plus of course, narration.  There may be sets to paint, props and masks to make and costumes to wear.

The Underground Theatre Once again we would like to thank Clare and everyone at The Underground.  We so enjoy visiting their theatre and look forward to our next visit
A Midsummer Fantasy Painshill Park Don and The Cat's Grin Team send a warm thank you to Mike, Caroline, Adam and all their busy helpers.  The children certainly had many interesting activities to engage in and they even managed to put together an enormous Thank You Card for The Cat's Grin.  When I have a free moment I will scan it on to the Gallery Page.
The Harlequin Theatre Once again we would like to thank Beth Wood and everyone at The Harlequin Theatre for their hospitality and look forward to our next visit.
Friends of Rowan May Fair 2007 We thoroughly enjoyed performing four stories for your school fair - it was very well organised.
SHOUT 2007 We would like to thank Maggs Latter for arranging for The Cat's Grin to run a day of theatre games and rehearsals leading to a performance of three of Aesop's Fables with children from Elmbridge Borough Council during SHOUT.  We were amazed at how quickly our young cast learnt this show.  After two hours of theatre games and improvisations in the morning, they then took only two and a half hours to learn and rehearse the entire productions, which was presented to Mums and Dads at the end of the afternoon.  Many congratulations to our young actors and actresses and a Big Thankyou to the team from Elmbridge Borough Council for their invaluable help during the day.
