JOB VACANCIES
With our busy Christmas schedule approaching we are looking for versatile and energetic performers to take part in one (or more) of our Special Christmas Productions, A Christmas Carol (KS 1 & KS 2), The Wizard of Oz (KS 1 & KS 2) The Adventures of Pinocchio (KS 1) and Goldilocks & The Cat's Grin Christmas Sing-Along (Nursery & Reception) or Robin Hood & The Quest for Christmas (KS 1 & KS 2), which will be touring schools between 25th November and 21st December 2009. It should also be noted that Cat’s Grin is always looking for performers who would like part time work with us during the academic year 2009 to 2010. This potentially involves work in Autumn, Spring and Summer.
Performers should be versatile, energetic actors/actresses who particularly enjoy working with children, and presenting fast-moving and humorous shows. Singing will be required in each of these productions. The Applicants should be based in or around Surrey /South-West London and ideally have a current driving licence and be willing to have shared responsibility for driving personnel and equipment to and from venues in a company acquired vehicle. They should be available to rehearse part-time from September to 24th November 2009 and subsequently to perform from 25th November to 21st December 2009. For the Christmas Tour the Company will pay £6.50 per hour for rehearsals and £40 (half day), £80 (full day) per day for performances. Ideally a CRB Certificate will be required. Rehearsals will be held in Cobham, Surrey where the Company is based. They will be working with two or three other performers, (depending on production), whilst on tour. Subject to a successful audition, all of the above will be confirmed by signed contract. We are also keen to hear from performers who may be interested in working with the Company in the future on a longer term contract.
The Cat’s Grin Theatre Company are always on the lookout for suitably versatile, energetic and enthusiastic performers to join their team. The company has full-time contracts for their Christmas Tour and can give longer term, part-time contracts to cover the school year (September through to July).

The Cat’s Grin Theatre Company are always on the lookout for creative talent to help them with set, costume and props. This involves the renovation of current equipment as well as the creation of new items for existing and new shows.
Designers should have a creative flare for producing eye catching and stimulating materials that would capture the imagination of children of all ages.
Designers should be able to provide the Director of The Cat’s Grin Theatre Company with examples of work or a portfolio.

The Cat’s Grin Theatre Company always welcomes people on work experience. Volunteers would be given experience in most of the workings of the company. In the office helping with the up-keep of paperwork and filing; with the designer helping with the up-keep of props, costume and set; with the performers assisting in rehearsals (some reading in of parts may be necessary), and being able to watch a Cat’s Grin performance at one of our bookings.
