  The Good Citizen
Using Drama games and excercises, students discover what they need to create / become The Good Citizen. Define a Good Citizen.
What does it mean to belong ? To your family, to your community, to your country ? Why do we need to belong ?
What is respect ? How do we show respect to others and have respect for ourselves ?
Respecting our community and our environment.
What can we do for others, for our community ? Rather than what can the community / country do for us ?
At the end of the session a story is pieced together featuring the Further Adventures of The Good Citizen. The mistakes made and the lessons learnt.Drama games and excercises, students discover what they need tocreate / become The Good Citizen. Define a Good Citizen. Drama games & exercises exploring the importance of News in our world.
Making News We look at news in all its guises, from a postcard to 24 hour news channels. From Chinese whispers to Gossip magazines. Who makes the news ? Who brings us the news ? Why do we need the news – good or bad ? Heroes and villains of the news. A look at the different subjects covered by the news / or that constitutes news. Incorporating an (imaginative) look at News Through the Ages. Session ends with the students taking a familiar story (or stories) and creating / presenting their own News Bulletin.
  Poetry in Performance
Through games & exercises students look at the reasons behind Rhymes; some of the historical stories behind our favourite Nursery Rhymes; typical subjects for Poetry (children's or otherwise): Love, war, seasons, relationships, moods. What kind of words are used in poetry, and why ? Classic poems are brought to life by the students and presented in a performance.
  All About Us

An exploration of the feelings and emotions that we experience every day.
The Highs & Lows.
What are emotions ?
How do we express them ? How do we control them ?
What makes a mood ? What language is used ?
How do emotions colour our behaviour, our words and language ?

  Play in a Day
Through Drama Games & Exercises, students explore the essentials of Storytelling. What are the chief ingredients of a story ? What's my plotline ? Where does my story take place ? Which characters shall I use? Subject matter ideas will be improvised, depending on time. The group will put the basics of a story together. The story will be divided into short scenes. Scenes will be cast, rehearsed and presented as a theatrical presentation. Different ways of presenting the story will be examined. The use of props & costumes. Use of music. Use of effects.
